Bathroom checks
This is what is key to look out for in your bathroom that may need profession attention:
Begin with the throne of the room. Flush the toilet three times.Open the cistern. Check the float and inlets for any leaks . Confirm that the float arm returns to the original position and shuts the water off.
Confirm that the incoming water returns to the normal level without any rising . The rising could indicate a blockage. Check around the pan for running water into the pan and leaks around the waste outlet pipe.
Fill the basin, bath and shower to 1/3 of capacity and let the water out. Check that the flow rate is draining correctly and that the wastes are clear with no debris such as soap leftovers or hair is blocking it.
Check the sealant around your bath and shower for any pitting or pulling away from the wall. Check for any form of mold which could damage the sealant .
IMPORTANT:
Carefully inspect your basin , bath and toilet for any hairline cracks in the porcelaine.
This is vital and any deformaties in the porcelaine should be attended to as soon as possible. It is dangerous to human life if left unattended as these items could split and break and cause bodily harm.
